We love to hear feedback from our Bridal clients and we appreciate all of the kind words.
The following reviews were posted on TheKnot.com from our 2017 Wedding Season clients.
"Colleen is amazing!!! From the very beginning she was fantastic. She is quick with responses, kind, professional and really cares about her business. From the hair and make up trial to the wedding day she was there for me with any questions, ideas, and scheduling I had.
Colleen and her team are great! I can't say enough about them. Myself and all of the girls in my wedding party looked beautiful! We were all so happy with our hair and makeup. I had a slight makeup malfunction when my eye would not stop watering! Yes of all days to have watery eyes it had to be my wedding day!!! I was freaking out, and Colleen calmed me down, fixed the problem, and had my eyes perfect again!!! I don't think I could have gotten to the alter without her!! She is the best!!!
I highly recommend Colleen and her team for any bride and her bridal party."
Hi! I'm Colleen, proud owner of Boston Ever After. As a mother of two toddlers and Kimbo the cat, this is my fourth baby! I got an early start in the beauty industry officially when I was 14 years old. Not quite ready to take on the task of doing hair and makeup for clients on their wedding day, I was hired for kids' birthday parties to braid hair and paint nails. I knew from the moment I started my freshman year in the Cosmetology program at Minuteman Regional HS, that I wanted to run my own event styling business.
In June 2006, I passed my state board exam and officially became licensed in the state of Massachusetts. There was no Instagram, Pinterest, or Snapchat; I had to build my company the old fashioned way - hard work and word of mouth. I learned a lot about business the hard way, for which I am grateful because it helped direct and shape my dream company.
In an ever-evolving industry, continuing my education and training is SO important to stay relevant and motivated. I've trained with L'Anza, Kevin Murphy, Aquage, Make Up For Ever, Temptu, Bobbi Brown, and many many many more.
When you are preparing for your preview with Boston Ever After, there are a few tips to remember to get the most out of your appointment. The goal of a trial is to have an idea and plan for your Bridal look.
Before your appointment, make sure that you have clean, moisturized skin. Dry skin acts like a magnet for the pigment in all makeup and will only look more dry with makeup. It is SO important to stay hydrated and moisturized, while preparing for your big day (don't forget your lips!!). Our makeup artists specialize in bridal makeup and will be able to best determine if your look requires airbrush or traditional makeup application. Our hair stylists prefer clean, dry hair. You don't want to waste time at your trial appointment having your hair blown dry. Dirty hair is not longer recommended for formal hair styling. We prefer clean hair, because we can add product to suit the style of the look, but we can't clean dirty hair with products (no, not even dry shampoo).
There are only 6 weeks left in the 2017 wedding season! That doesn't sound like much, but with a wedding every week, we will be as busy as ever!
This poor little blog has been at a stand still because we have to give 100% to our clients and the blog falls to the bottom of the to-do list.
If you have had your hair or makeup done by us this season (or ever!), we would be honored if you would write us a review here.
In addition, we would love to see photos from your event! Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or comment on this post.
